Army Aviator Grouping
Got this from his widow many years ago. All I remember is his name was Kermit.

The wood heart is made from a plane he crashed. The gauge is from one too. The R wings were made in France and were unofficial Reconiassance wings.
Here's his flight helmet and goggles

Re: Army Aviator Grouping
Nice grouping. I really like the wings. So was he an observer or a recon pilot? I've never seen wings with an 'R' on them before.

She said he was a recon pilot. I'm pretty sure he was a flyer, not Observer. Wish I had more info.. I remember her, but she had re-married I found out so the name I had doesn't work. 1st set I've ever seen too.. Got 'em around 83 or 84.

Now that is a unique grouping, not to many old gauges in groupings.
